SPONSORSHIP
This module exists due to the wonderful people at Suretec Systems Ltd.

This shows our commitment, as always, to giving back to the open source community.
Lastly, here’s an overview of what you can do with the SureVoIP API:
- have your accounting software download all your invoices
- list all your companies calls
- send text messages and faxes
- manage all your telephone numbers
- provide a customer portal on your own site (white label)
- integrate with other applications that you use
- create your own customers using your partner account
- order new telephone numbers
- get out of credit alerts via the push based event notification framework
- use OAuth 2.0 for allowing 3rd party Apps access to your account
- be 100% self-sufficient
- create telephone calls (good for click-to-call)
- much more….
We’re in the process of creating the Developer sign up pages on our site so that you can register an app and we’ll also have an App gallery to list your wonderful creations! Demo and live apps are coming.
Just a quick one to say that we are delighted to announce a very competitive UK mobile price drop from 9.5p ex VAT to 7p ex VAT for calls to O2, 3, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone using SureVoIP.

Aberdeen-based communications company SureVoIP has just launched an innovative API (application programming interface) which will provide an even better service for customers and partners and allow 100% self-service and interaction with the SureVoIP suite of products and services.
To ensure communications with other products and services, the company has just launched what is believed to be UK VoIP’s first publicly available and documented Application Programming Interface (API) beta of this kind.
Commenting on the move, SureVoIP managing director Gavin Henry said: “It is vital for us to remain at the forefront of technology and it is anticipated that this API will further enhance our ability to provide the broadest possible spectrum to all customers and partners, existing or potential.
“The SureVoIP API can be used to send SMS messages, faxes, generate telephone calls, manage accounts and telephone numbers, subscribe to event notifications and use a feature called OAuth 2.0 which allows third parties to create Apps like those for Twitter and Facebook.
“Various partnerships have been put in place to maximise adoption and many of our existing customers are already incorporating this API into their Mobile App strategy. Because of this, SureVoIP has also started development work on its own mobile app for customers and partners as well as a long list of exciting new ways to make a telephone call.”

An Aberdeen-based communications company is celebrating the completion of an unusual contract to supply services to Nepal.
Internet Telephony Service Provider SureVoIP is part of the Suretec Group which was established in 2003. The company recently worked with London-based travel firm himalayasnepal.com to create a high-tech link to an office in the Nepalese capital, Kathmandu.
Using the state-of-the-art fully managed SureVoIP hosted VoIP communication system, Gavin Henry and the team at SureVoIP have been able to link VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phones and a camera in the Kathmandu branch to an office in London, giving himalaysnepal.com a 24-hour presence which allows visitors in Kathmandu to chat live on a one-to-one basis with a member of staff in London.
Commenting on the Nepal project, SureVoIP managing director Gavin Henry said:
“This latest project underlines the increasing importance of internet telephone services for any company dealing in more than one country, not least due to the flexibility it affords and the fact that VoIP can be used anywhere there is an internet connection.
“It also signifies further growth for our company which has also recently worked in locations as diverse as the Netherlands, Malta, Mauritius, Canada and the Maldives.”
himalayasnepal.com managing director Raja Giri added:
“It’s not just a cost-effective method, but really allows distance to be completely removed so it’s as if our other office is next door.”

Due to public holidays in the UK the SureVoIP office will be closed for normal business on Friday 22nd & Monday 25th of April, Friday 29th April and Monday 2nd May.
Aberdeen-based internet telephony service provider SureVoIP has been shortlisted for a prestigious industry award.
The company is one of six finalists in the ‘Best Business ITSP (Internet Telephony Service Provider) for SMEs’ category of the 2011 ITSPA (Internet Telephony Service Providers’ Association) Awards.
The winner of the accolade – presented to the company which the judging panel deems provides the best service for small and medium business users – will be announced at an awards ceremony in the iconic BT Tower in London, on Monday, March 7.
In order to make the shortlist, SureVoIP had to undergo a rigorous assessment process, which involved providing comprehensive details on its service offering, as well as a period of technical testing.
The testing element of the assessment stage entailed over 1000 calls being made via SureVoIP’s internet telephony lines over a 3 month period to measure a number of metrics including voice quality, delays and background noise.
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) offers significant improvements to the flexibility, speed and cost of global communication through transmitting voice and multimedia communication through the Internet, as opposed to the fast-disappearing Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).
Gavin Henry, Managing Director of SureVoIP – which became the first company in Scotland to achieve ITSPA Quality Mark accreditation in December 2010 – commented on the company making the shortlist:
“We are thrilled to be in the running for such a highly respected industry award.
“Being named as a finalist is a major, exciting achievement for SureVoIP, particularly considering the company has only been operating for a matter of months, having been launched in November 2010, but with all services being quality tested over the previous year before launch.
“Making the shortlist – which involved SureVoIP being assessed by top industry professionals – highlights the exceptional quality of service we already provide customers with and bodes well for the future success of the company.”
SureVoIP, which is a division of IT and telecoms support specialist, the Suretec Group, was established to harness and utilise the vast technical expertise and experience with VoIP suppliers, which the group had acquired through its initial services relating to VoIP consultancy.
Established in Scotland in 2003, the Suretec Group specialises in open source IT support and consultancy, open source telecoms and training in open source software. SureVoIP is the fourth division within the group, which also includes Suretec Systems, Suretec Telecoms and Suretec Training.
