24/7 emergency customer support and Christmas holidays 2015

The SureVoIP office will be closed for normal business on:
  • Thursday 24th December
  • Friday 25th December
  • Thursday 31st December
  • Friday 1st January
  • Monday 4th January

We will re-open on the Tuesday 5th January 2015.
If you have an emergency support requirement you can use our 24/7 emergency customer support telephone number 01224 245012. SureVoIP partners can call the on call support engineers directly. Please note: this is for extreme emergencies regarding loss of service, not sales. When you call this number you will be asked for your SureVoIP telephone number and/or account number by a helpdesk agent. Process: The helpdesk will call our internal test number to check all inbound and outbound systems. If there are no problems detected you will be advised to restart your equipment and verify your internet connection. If you are still experiencing a problem and require immediate assistance which can not wait until normal business hours, a call will be placed to our on call support engineers. We will already be alerted of any serious problems on our core systems due to our automated 24/7 monitoring and will post information about the problem on our Service Status page and SureVoIP Twitter Service Status feed, so please check these first. Technical Sales Administrator

Technical Sales Administrator A full time opportunity has arisen within the internal sales and technical team in Aberdeen for a Technical Sales Administrator. The office based role will include:
  • You will support existing clients, resolve problems and implement new onsite and hosted VoIP systems (FreeSWITCH, OpenSIPS, PostgreSQL, Asterisk)
  • Answer sales enquiries from website contact form, via our website chat tool and via telephone
  • Prepare quotations and invoices using a web based tool
  • Heavy email usage
  • End to end new customer processing via online tool
  • You will sometimes need to travel to client sites to perform deployment, implementation and support activities, so a driving licence and car are a big plus. You will however have a direct supervisor to lead you through all this.
Experience: Ideally, you'll have worked with Linux in customer-facing role and/or have a working knowledge of the sales environment. You may not have experience with all of the technologies and procedures mentioned above, but you need to show that you are capable of understanding and deploying them in a professional environment. You should have general TCP/IP networking and Linux administration experience and be able to talk to clients on the phone. You will possess excellent communication skills, be able to prioritise a busy workload, and liaise closely with those in the internal sales team to ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times.

Important changes to non-geographic numbers - UK Calling

There are some major changes being introduced to non-geographic numbers on 1st July 2015 by Ofcom. Ofcom has called them UK Calling. This is because when you make a telephone call to a service number – one beginning 08, 09 or 118 – it's not always clear how much it will cost. That will soon change, under a new system that will make the cost of calling service numbers clear for everyone. It affects all calls from consumer mobiles and landlines to 08, 09 and 118 numbers. SureVoIP Best Business ITSP (Medium Enterprise) 2015 Finalist

SureVoIP is delighted to make the finalists’ shortlist for the 2015 ITSPA Best Business ITSP (Medium Enterprise) award. FINALIST-Best-Business-ITSP-Medium-Enterprise-2015 The Award is open to companies offering a VoIP service to medium size enterprises for more than 10 and less than 150 employees/seats. The company winning this category must provide the best all round voice service to medium size businesses. This company has to provide a good selection of business features, including multiple telephone numbers; call queuing as well as support for remote workers. Entrants were also required to submit details of its operation, a case study for review and undergo two months of technical testing which examined reliability, stability and quality of its VoIP service. A panel of independent experts have chosen the winners based on their written self-assessments and providing they have passed the benchmark testing metrics. The winners are announced on the 19th March 2015.
