SureVoIP Numbers

This guide explains how to change your number destinations.

Your numbers can either be:

  • Delivered to a fixed IP address as SIP
  • Delivered to your IP address you are registered from
  • Forwarded to another phone number (VoIP, landline or mobile)

Changing Number Destination

  1. Log into your SureVoIP Customer Portal.
  2. Go to the DID Section.
  3. Find your phone number you wish to edit. If a UK number, the preceding 0 will be replaced with 44.
  4. Click the pencil icon to edit.
  5. Change the Destination field to your requirements.
    If SIP, use SIP/XXXXXXXXXXX@X.X.X.X format.
If call forwarding, simply enter the full number.
  6. Set Priority as required. 1 being first, 5 being last attempted.
  7. Set VOIP_CALL to Yes if SIP, or to No if call forwarding.
  8. Click CONFIRM DATA once finished.
Your changes will need to be approved by a member of the SureVoIP Support Team before they go live.

Important Information

Your numbers will be listed in an international format, with a 44 in place of the preceding 0. For example, 01220 123456 will be listed as 441220123456.

If your calls are being delivered by SIP, the destination must be entered like SIP/01220123456@1.2.3.4

Port can also be entered, ie SIP/01220123456@1.2.3.4:5060

Ensure VOIP_CALL is set to YES.

If you are forwarding calls to another phone number, simply enter the phone number in the destination, ie 01220123456 and set VOIP_CALL to NO.

You can set up to 5 destinations per number, which increases resilience should something happen to your PBX or internet connection. Simply set PRIORITY in the order required. 1 will be the first attempted destination, while 5 will be the last. Each next destination will be attempted if the preceding one times out. (Busy, Unavailable etc will not count).
