Hi all,

Hope you’re having a great year too? With 2012 almost coming to an end it’s time to just summarise where we are and what’s been happening in our world of VoIP.

We’ve now doubled our VoIP capacity with BT wholesale again to meet upcoming business in 2013. What else? Here’s a quick list as I know you’re very busy:

  • We have secured funding from the Scottish Business Gateway for a new business plan and sales and marketing work. This is paving the way for us to develop our own ISP related to VoIP in 2013. It is also helping with a new marketing video, website revamp, better purchase experience so your products are instantly live and a new customer and partner portal (plus other things)
  • We’ve joined RIPE - those techies of you will know this is the first step to running your own Broadband and other connectivity products
  • We’ve entered the ITSPA Awards again have high hopes we’ll win it
  • Our iPhone app is getting shown to us this month which is being developed in partnership with RGU
  • We’re closed for Christmas (I hope you are too)
  • We’re launching a brand new conferencing and web meeting product (more this month but it is a real game changer)
  • We’re moving office so we can accommodate more staff
  • We’re working hard on the most requested feature which is call packages
  • The SureVoIP API developer portal will be ready after the new year
  • SureVoIP partners are using the API in some cool ways
We’ve a couple of press releases out before the year end so keep an eye out. How has your year been?

Thanks,
Gavin.

P.S. Have you seen our SureVoIP 5 star reviews?

Just come across this Cloud Industry Forum rains on UK Cloud Alliance’s parade:

Fifteen UK-based technology firms and service providers have come together to launch the UK Cloud Alliance in an attempt to help businesses looking to procure cloud services. However, the move has been heavily criticized by the Cloud Industry Forum.

“Apparently a rigorous process was implemented (by Star themselves we assume) to whittle down literally ‘thousands’ of would-be cloud providers and enablers into a list of just 15-17 businesses that can meet the needs of the UK SMB market according to Star’s business develepment person,” said Andy Burton, chairman of the Cloud Industry Forum.

“Unsurprisingly, the only firms making the cut were firms that don’t compete with Star, and many of who they have historically worked with on opportunities. I would love to hear from some of the hopeful companies that supposedly must have had their business plans dashed by not becoming a member of this ‘new’ organisation, but somehow I doubt that even one of these claimed ‘thousands’ will ever come forward,” he added.

Certified SIP Trunk Provider Just a quick note to say we have been certified by NEC and 3CX and will be complete with Aastra, Avaya, and Panasonic phone system manufacturers plus more in the next few months with the help of some of our partners. We’ll then add a new section under our Help & Support menu for easy reference.

What does this mean? Well, you or your technical department can now use official guides for NEC and 3CX and be certain that SureVoIP products and services will work with your chosen phone system.

If you are a SureVoIP partner or wish to be, then this also means that you can follow our official manufacturer approved guides when setting up any new customers and be able to get on with selling your services rather than worry about if things will work.

If you are a phone system manufacturer and wish to talk to us about SureVoIP becoming a certified VoIP supplier then please do get in touch.

Thanks,

Gavin.
